Pocket Atlas of Human Histology

This pocket atlas is the first atlas of histology to use exclusively human rather than animal tissues for its illustrations.
The use of human tissue is important not only because the structure of the tissues of animals often varies considerably from that of human beings but also because it is necessary for the student to learn to recognize artefacts, which occur only in human tissues as a result of their method of preparation.
The atlas utilizes clear diagrams, labelled tracings of photographic prints, and high quality electron micrographs, and it is useful handbook for students of medicine, physiotherapy, and medical laboratory technology.
